Like the main house, the boathouse has been restored to its former glory.
The homeowners spend two months a year at their 1800s cottage on Wistowe Island in Canada’s Muskoka Lakes region, outside Toronto.
The island shoreline is all granite rocky outcroppings and majestic pines.
The inviting front porch is decked out with vintage wicker furniture with cushions in bright Quadrille fabrics.
French doors lead from the dining room to the outdoor dining area with its custom Accoya wood pedestal table by Anne Hepfer Designs. Acid green perforated aluminum armchairs are from Janus et Cie, the vine basket chandelier is from Pieces Inc.
Blue and white seersucker Kim Seybert table napkins are trimmed in bright green.
A Feather Juju adorns the wall above the upright piano in the family room; custom sofas are covered in a blue Ralph Lauren fabric and a Robert Allen raspberry and white ikat. The limestone-topped coffee table is from the designer’s collection; the drapery fabric is John Robshaw through Duralee.
In the living room, a sectional from the designer’s collection sports a bright green and raspberry paisley from Designer Fabric Outlet; chair cushions are Lee Jofa through Kravet. The woven coffee table is from Ralph Lauren.
The entry’s statement-making custom cubes are covered in hot pink John Robshaw linen. A Curry & Co driftwood mirror hangs above a cast resin Oly console; a pair of ceramic table lamps is from Bungalow 5; striped rug is through Zara Home.
A granite fireplace and wood columns delineate the downstairs living space. Chair and ottoman are by Anne Hepfer Designs; upholstery is Pindler & Pindler. Round multicolored rug is from Anthropologie. White ceramic side table is through Made Goods.
In the dining room, a Bolon rug trimmed with blue leather grounds a vintage table and chairs. The porcupine quill chandelier adds texture, while the green and turquoise Schumacher cotton drapes “add the jazz,” the designer says.
In the guest bedroom, the bedskirt is a blue linen from Threadcount; while the headboard and bedskirt trim are through Clarence House. Pink shams and chaise fabric are Manuel Canovas. Bungalow 5 nightstands, House of Troy sconces and a Missoni area rug complete the look.
The custom sofa sports a Kelly Wearstler print, and the swivel chair is covered in a Savel fabric. The cerused oak scroll table is from Shine by S.H.O; side table is from Oomph.
In the master bedroom, a wall and bedskirt wear a Lulu DK linen.
Sconces are through RH; blue ikat shams are from Pottery Barn; and the rug is from Red Carpet.
