The Upper East Side duplex the Obamas were spotted touring in October just closed for $9.64 million, according to 6sqft. The buyer’s name has not been confirmed, but the apartment entered into contract shortly after news broke that the former president and first lady were touring units and a mysterious trust called “Gracie Square Revocable Trust” completed the purchase. The five-bedroom spread in question is located in 10 Gracie Square, a prestigious building that has been home to names like Gloria Vanderbilt and Alexander Woollcott. If the Obama’s are the new owners, they will enjoy perks like a private elevator landing, a massive master suite, East River views, and 11-foot ceilings. In June, the pair snagged a Tudor-style mansion in Washington D.C., where they are living while their youngest daughter finishes high school. Perhaps the power couple wants to make New York City home once they’re empty nesters.
