Galleries from 38 countries, 286 of them American, brought their fine works to Art Basel Miami during the first week of December. More than 75,000 international fairgoers attended to browse and buy. Several pieces sold for millions of dollars, topped by $4.75 million paid for “Untitled” by David Hammons, sold by US firm Hirschl & Adler.
