Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner's Former Brentwood Mansion Is the Setting for Nancy Meyers's New Movie

The homes used throughout Nancy Meyer’s many blockbuster films often become leading characters of their own. Who can forget the Southampton estate that served as the backdrop for Meyer’s 2003 hit Something’s Gotta Give starring Diane Keaton and Jack Nicholson? It sold in 2014 for a whopping $41 million.

Now, fans of Meyers are falling in love with the stately Spainish-style property Reese Witherspoon calls home in Meyer’s new release Home Again. In the film, Witherspoon’s character plays a recently separated mother of two who moves her family back to the California house where she was raised.

Page Six is reporting that 3,800-square foot estate once belonged to Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner.

Affleck and Garner lived in the four-bedroom property up until 2009 when they sold it for $6.25 million. Listing photos reveal a leafy setting complete with swimming pool, dining terrace, outdoor fireplace and multiple fountains.

The home’s cozy interiors have been well documented in Instagram photos posted to Meyer’s own feed, including the one below where the producer explains the relevance of the film’s title.
