Patience has served Manning on both the football field and in the real estate game. Hasty calls in either arena can lead to interceptions or lost money, but Manning has managed to claim records in both of these domains. As Giants Franchise record-holder for most passing yards, touchdown passes and completed passes, Manning is no stranger to setting bars. Now, he has set another, as the recent sale of his Hoboken condo for $3.55 million is the biggest condo sale in the trendy city’s history.Manning and his wife, Abby McGrew, first listed their waterfront spread three years ago for a hefty $5.2 million, but when no viable options surfaced downfield, the couple went back to the huddle and decided to make it available to rent for $18,000/month until a buyer came along. They originally acquired the condo in 2008 and called it home as their family grew, according to 6sqft. Though the condo is by no means small, clocking in at 3,550-square-feet and consisting of three units, they eventually outgrew the Hoboken abode. While waiting patiently to sell the residence, they passed the time by picking up a chic Hamptons modern.Although the New Jersey unit is markedly contemporary, it’s countered by an industrial vibe thanks to elements of the building’s lineage. Originally build in 1913 and formerly the Hudson Tea Building, home of Lipton Tea, there are many architectural elements that lend to the rustic flavor, including exposed brick walls and wooden beamed ceilings. Manning’s particular unit is perched in the Southeast corner and offers brilliant views of the Hudson and the NYC skyline. This is surely a successful play for the new owner, as the apartment has tons to offer. Gorgeous hardwood floors are delightfully juxtaposed with high end appliances and clean, ample cabinetry in the kitchen. There’s also a great breakfast nook to relax in while checking the scores from the previous night’s Giants game. The Giants may not have collected many wins over this past season, but this was surely a win for Manning in an equally competitive game. Lisa Poggi and Neal Sroka of Douglas Elliman had the monumental listing.
