After a handful of attempts and multiple price cuts, Mickey Drexler, former CEO of J. Crew, has managed to sell his waterfront Hamptons home for $15 million. The blissful residence is spacious and secluded at the end of a private drive with breath-taking panoramic views of Wainscott pond. The 2.3-acre property offers 315 feet of direct waterfront access so the new owner can simply cuff up his or her chinos and stroll through the lapping waves.Drexler first bought the property for $17 million ten years ago, and started attempting to unload the property in 2014, but the $26.5 million price just wasn’t enticing. The price went down to $21.5 million from there and the former fashion executive finally relisted it for a much lower $17.95 million last November. It seems like that number finally turned heads. The 3-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom home is a delightful place to entertain guests from the city and beyond. There’s a chef’s kitchen as part of the open floor plan, massive picture windows to gaze out of and a fireplace to congregate around after a long day on the water. All bedrooms have outdoor access and can benefit from a cooling ocean breeze.Douglas Elliman had the listing, which was long overdue to sell. Drexler may have taken a loss on the final selling price, but now maybe he can focus on his Miami properties.
