The living room features a pair of Sergio Asti armchairs in a Moore & Giles fabric and a sofa covered in Andrew Martin’s Ocampo in chocolate silver. An Angelo Lelli for Arredoluce light fixture hangs above a cubist coffee table by Courtney Smith.
The dining room includes an 18th-century Venetian sofa covered in a Rubelli silk damask; the framed wall panel is a remnant from a restaurant. An antique Persian rug anchors Philippe Starck’s 1981 XO Dole Melipone dining table and a set of 1954 Tonneau chairs by Pierre Guariche.

The original wainscoting in the kitchen was painted black to coordinate with the Black Lace wallpaper from Trove. The schoolhouse chairs were found at a Paris flea market, as was the circa-1970s light fixture.
Hunnewell’s three sons, whose paternal grandfather was a concert pianist, all play the Steinway in a corner of the living room.
The library features a vintage leather club chair by Jean-Michel Frank and a mid-20th-century lounge chair by Hans Wegner; the Lucite coffee table is from Plexi-Craft.
A chartreuse carpet from Stark appears here and in the master bedroom, where a Paris Review poster hangs above the bed and ikat accent pillows are trimmed in Jim Thompson’s Kaleidoscope in lemon. A Jim Zivic campaign chair from Ralph Pucci sits at the vintage Jean Prouvé Compas table.
Son Nico’s room includes colorful striped fabrics collected by Hunnewell over the years and a striped rug from the Conran Shop in Paris; the George Smith club chair is covered in an Indian-print fabric.
