A Best Sorpresa stainless-steel hood hangs like a sculpture above a Wolf cooktop in the kitchen, playing off a trio of Bertoia bar stools. The rain glass and walnut cabinetry is from SKL Glass and Woodland Remodeling & Cabinetry.
Just inside the apartment’s entryway, a bust greets visitors; it’s reflected in a verre églomisé mirrored backdrop designed by Gentet.

A work by Chesley McLaren hangs above a Niedermaier sofa in the den. Gentet silver-leafed the cabinets.
Client Rita Veygman and designer Guillaume Gentet strike a pose against one of the loft’s original cast-iron columns.
The headboard in the master bedroom is also a Gentet design, with fabric from Osborne & Little; the bed linens are from Frette. The bronze sculpture is from Holly Hunt.
Gentet designed the master suite’s two-story bath/dressing room, where a spring 2013 Dolce & Gabbana dress hangs on a valet hook.
A Baccarat Zenith Midnight chandelier hangs above a Maurice Villency table and chairs in the dining area of the open-plan loft. Guillaume Gentet created informal seating areas with a Natuzzi sectional and a Donghia daybed, arranged on custom cowhide rugs by Kyle Bunting. The cocktail table is vintage Baccarat.
