The new screened porch offers a stunning view of the pond. The screen panels by Fitting Millwork Supply can be replaced with glazed panels during the winter. The red dining chairs by Design Within Reach were made from recycled Coca-Cola bottles. A window opens above the countertop for easy access to the kitchen.
A look at Hidden Hollow farm across a pond shows the home’s new orientation toward the water. The red barn is equipped with solar panels that feed electricity to the house.

In the living room, Michael Waugh’s The Civil Rights Commission hangs over the fireplace. To its right is Terry Winters’ Set Diagram 84, oil on linen. A Louise Bourgeois etching hangs to the left of the Waugh, across from an oil painting by Romain de Plas.
In the mud room, the Green River stone floor with a velvet finish is from Stone Source. Custom ash panels by New England Wholesale Hardwoods further imbue the space with a cozy feel.
Original flooring from the circa 1740 house was recycled and installed on a wall in the kitchen, its historic feel contrasted by new white oak flooring. King Stone’s Olympic marble from Vermont quarries was used on the countertops.
