This shingle and stone 1894 Ehrick Rossiter house in Washington blends seamlessly with its surroundings. A new sunroom and attached gazebo were designed to mesh with the original home during renovation and restoration work directed by local architect Reese Owens.
An expanded and modern kitchen features dark walnut cabinets, a limestone floor and a large island under a custom-designed hood from Boffi.
The dining room has a black walnut Mira Nakashima table as its centerpiece. Brno chairs by Breuer from Knoll are covered in vintage velvet.
A new sunroom provides an open and airy space, its windows a nod to the style of the original architect.
In the living room, the rocker is an antique purchased in Chicago, and the two club chairs are 1930s French Art Deco from George Champion of nearby Woodbury. The rug is a Warp & Weft custom design.
In the master bedroom, a colorful Warp & Weft rug contrasts beautifully with neutral carpeting from Stark. Tommi Parzinger ebonized cabinets are used for bedside tables. The headboard is custom by Robert Renzullo.
