Frederique van der Wal in the living room of her Amsterdam apartment.
Frederique van der Wal outfitted the living room of her Amsterdam condo with armchairs from Hutspot, Gert Snel sconces, and a throw from MaisonNL.
Van der Wal designed the kitchen runner and painted the wooden ceiling beams, which date from the 17th century, glossy black. The cabinetry is from Ikea and the fridge and range are by Smeg.
In the guest room, accordion sconces flank a bed that’s dressed with an Outras Coisas duvet.
The master bathroom’s sink is from Duravit and the faucet is from Ikea.
A custom tufted headboard makes a statement in the master bedroom, which includes a throw from Hutspot and a bench from Gert Snel.
Like her fellow Amsterdammers, van der Wal gets around town by bike.
