Roaming the aisles at the massive home show, Maisons et Objets, which takes place in Paris twice a year, takes serious will-power and can numb your senses. Spread out over eight huge buildings outside the city of Paris, the set up and scope is mind-boggling, even for pros in the business.
When you discover a product or a look that is distinctly “new” and innovative, however, after traipsing through one building, you can literally stop in your tracks when you find something new and innovative hiding between the colossal furniture installations. For example, something called the BacSac picked up where wood slat planters stopped. A flexible plant container made of 100% recyclable fabric (water resistant of course), this ingenious item allows you to pick up your plants and take them inside, from a window sill or sunroom, to the outside, to a balcony or garden. It’s frost and sun resistant as well. So just fill with soil, plant and enjoy. www.bacsac.fr
