Times were simpler in New York City in 2018. Not only was the COVID pandemic an unknown future event, but Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner were just at the start of their love story and establishing a residence together in the Big Apple. While engaged, it seems the pair (or Jonas singularly, per Newsweek and others) picked up this bright pad in trendy, high-end Nolita using an LLC. They started to float it on the market in 2020, first listing it for $6.5 million then $5.9 million, but it is now up for sale again amidst their divorce.
Though it is unclear exactly who the initial buyer was and who the seller is now (one or both of them), what is known is that this 2,907-square-foot haven was a landing pad for the couple. The purchase price was roughly $5.6 million, but today the condo is asking just $1 less than $6 million.
Contemporary, fresh, and within walking distance to tons of restaurants, it’s no wonder a young couple found this place amiable. Light wood, an open concept floor plan, and black casement windows present a laidback atmosphere that’s not fussy yet still luxe. It also has three bedrooms and three bathrooms, with the primary suite leading out to a dreamy 1,450-square-foot terrace.
Apart from the condo itself, the low-key building serves up quite a draw for celebs. It only holds 11 units, all serviced by a 24-hour doorman, while also boasting a swanky rooftop terrace.
Carl Gambino of The Gambino Group at Compass and Adam Modlin and Andrew Nierenberg of Modlin Group share the downtown Manhattan listing. It comes not long after the pair sold their Miami home, which was briefly their primary residence.
