This past September, Netflix released rom-com show ‘Nobody Wants This’ starring Kristen Bell and Adam Brody. And, it was a massive hit. Set in Los Angeles and based loosely on the life experiences of the show’s creator, Erin Foster, Bell’s character Joanne is a podcaster who falls in love with an unexpected someone. The series filmed many scenes at this Mediterranean-esque home with youthful interiors, which just came to market asking $3.795 million.
While the original home was built almost 100 years ago, interior designer David Lucido has curated it impeccably. The spaces feel cool and laidback but also feminine and fresh, which may be why producers chose it as the place where the show’s main character records her podcast with her sister. On screen, the home can be seen from both the outside and inside. The entryway, kitchen, and living room all made appearances in the show.
The 3,776 square foot home is designed with color and shape in mind, featuring deep purple cabinetry in the chef’s kitchen and groovy, curving furnishings. You’ll also find imported Saltillo tile and plaster walls, adding lovely texture. A total of four bedrooms and three bathrooms await at the property, including a separate guest house at could be used as a personal studio or podcast space in homage to Bell’s character. Outside, a large pool and hot tub are tucked under the greenery of mature trees.
Yep, seems like the right place for a rom-com to unfold. And, with season two coming in 2025, you may even see the house on-screen again soon. Marc Noah of Sotheby’s International Realty holds the listing.
