After seven seasons, the hit show New Girl came to a close last spring and actor Lamorne Morris is moving on, quite literally, into new digs. Morris, who you may know better as Winston if you’re a New Girl fan, just dropped $3.11 million on a sleek Spanish-style/contemporary hybrid in Tarzana, California. The tight-knit roommates on New Girl would freak out if they got to move into this 5-bedroom, 7.5-bath stunner. The 5,840-square-foot house is a far cry from the quirky, industrial-chic loft the characters share, but there are definitely similarities when it comes to the huge open spaces and inviting feel. Roomy and bright, it is the picture of California living with floor-to-ceiling glass windows and doors that lead out to a backyard designed for breezy entertaining. An expansive yard, large pool, barbecue, and multiple lounge and dining areas are all part of the outdoor allure.Inside, one gigantic space containing the two-island kitchen, living room, and breakfast room is the heart of the home. Here, guests can mingle or relax comfortably wherever suits them, with food always nearby. And when Morris wants to host his New Girl family to watch some old episodes or have intimate viewing parties for upcoming projects, the luxury media room will surely come in handy.Aaron Kirman of Compass represented the new-construction listing, which the LA Times first reported sold to Morris.
