The 21st annual Hot Pink Luncheon and Symposium was help in Palm Beach to benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation founded in 1993 by Palm Beach and New York resident Evelyn Lauder. Since the beginning, looped pink ribbons designate the group, and guests dress according, arriving in a plethora-of-pink parade of outfits (as shown in the slideshow below).
Following a reception featuring pink rose wine, lunch was served in the seaside dining room.
After greetings and introductions, two noted doctors discussed the latest promising research changing the landscape of breast cancer prevention and treatment. BCRF Board of Directors Co-Chair William Lauder presented the Quick Family with the Evelyn H. Lauder Humanitarian Award for their commitments to BCRF and to other lifesaving causes.
After watching models wearing the latest Oscar de la Renta fashions, guests departed with Lauder gift bags learning they had contributed over $2.6 million to be added to the more than a billion dollars the foundation has raised to achieve prevention and cure of the disease worldwide.
