Ever checked into a luxurious hotel that you never wanted to leave? Such is the goal of hotel brand ROOST, which just opened its newest and largest location in Philadelphia. Dubbed ROOST East Market, the hotel acts more as a home-away-from-home, offering fully furnished apartments on a weekly and monthly basis. With high-design concepts by renowned architect Morris Adjmi, whose work populates the East Coast, you’ll want to take up an extended stay. Each apartment is outfitted with a full kitchen, washer and dryer, Apple TV and living plants; in other words, it feels like an upgraded AirBnB. Elevating this status are the furnishings and décor choices, made personally by Adjmi and featuring a blend of new custom, collected vintage, and modern pieces.Perhaps most appealing about this new location are its guest amenities, to which an entire floor is dedicated. An outdoor pool, community vegetable garden, library and lounge, and private screening room all find their home here, but most breathtaking is the demo kitchen. Ripped from the exclusive SoHo House, the space includes an vast poured-concrete island, as well as a soaring rusticated backsplash.Access to all of these features are included in the price of a night’s stay—though checking in for a week or month earns a discounted rate.
