Optical Illusion | From the house, the pool seems to fall into the lily pond, which separates the property from the sand dunes above East Beach. The pool is edged in Chinese granite, which stays cool even on the hottest days.
Restful Retreat | The screened porch on the patio is a favorite gathering spot for cocktails at sunset. The massive chimney was incorporated from the original house.
Front and Center | The columns, made of cut Westerly granite, were originally on the north side of the house. The eyebrow window between the dormers adds a classic touch.
Rest Easy | In the family room, sofas and club chairs are covered in stain-resistant fabrics. The stone for the chimney was found on the property. An eclectic mix of accent pieces includes teak and palm wood urns, an antique Thai mask and antique wine-making wood screws from France.
Counter Point | Granite countertops and white cabinets help keep the mood light in the kitchen. The brown leather bar stools add to the casual vibe.
Breezy Breakfast | In the sunroom, the table is made of old farm planking. Chairs are multicolored blue, green, burgundy and natural brown wicker. Glass cloches with boating rope add a nautical touch.
Suite Dreams | A mix of silver, brown and blue adds a contemporary feel to one of two master bedrooms. The overhead drum light is from Restoration Hardware. Seahorse cashmere pillows by Rani Arabella accent the king-size bed by Lillian August, which has a tufted silk and velvet headboard.
Bathing Beauty | One of the master bathrooms features custom vanities with a hand-rubbed gray and blue finish. The fixtures are from Klaff’s, the wall sconces from Restoration Hardware.
