The New York Academy of Art held its annual Summer Drawing Party on August 11 at The Pridwin Hotel on Shelter Island. The evening’s hosts included Brooke Shields & Chris Henchy, Alissa Friedman & Glenn Petry, Colleen Bashaw & Bruce Bohuny, Curtis Bashaw, and Simon Doonan & Jonathan Adler.
Looking over the Peconic River, guests gathered in the front yard of the newly renovated Pridwin. Artist John Alexander gave guests a brief lesson in Drawing 101 and NYAA President David Kratz interviewed artist Reisha Perlmutter. Then guests flocked to their easels to sketch live models with colorful charcoal. Attendees sipped on wine by The Mascot and enjoyed passed hors d’oeuvres while creating their artwork.
NYAA will host its Fall Gala, “Take Home a Nude,” on Tuesday, October 25, at Chelsea Industrial in New York City.
