The Zig-Zag Takeover

Missoni’s empire expands with furniture in its iconic fabrics

This spring, Italian fashion house Missoni adds a line of home furnishings to its expanding home brand. Rosita Missoni is collaborating with her brothers, Alberto and Giampiero Jelmini, and the Torrani family’s T&J Vestor furniture company. Just as one would expect from the Missoni family, Rosita has designed pieces to add vibrancy and color to both indoor and outdoor spaces. Her goal is to create an “escape from the obvious,” which allows the development of a more versatile and sophisticated setting.

Missoni has also partnered with Apothia, the luxury candle line of Fred Segal’s Ron Robinson. Inspired by the natural elements—land, water, air, and fire—the candles provide a lavish interior fragrance.

I was lucky enough to explore the upbeat new Missoni line, and picked out a few of my favorite pieces.
