Humans have always been fascinated by what lies beneath the sea, with the release of The Little Mermaid finally putting a soundtrack to the desire to be immersed in ocean life. The Conrad Maldives Rangali Resort is now making this “Under the Sea” dream a luxe reality as the hotel will open an underwater villa, designed by architect Ahmed Saleem, in November.Living the mermaid life doesn’t come cheap, however, as it will cost vacationers a staggering $50,000/night. For that price, the suite, called The Muraka, offers a master bedroom and living room that are 16.4 feet below sea level as well as an upper floor with two bedrooms, a sun deck, and an infinity pool. According to The Spaces, the villa’s jet skis, private seaplane, and speedboat will be at guests’ disposal, promising endless fun in the sun. Other notable perks that explain the high price include an on-call chef, fitness trainer, and a team of butlers so you never have to lift a finger. The luxury space will be one of the most expensive hotel suites in the world, with only a few others beating it out. With allure like that, celebrities and high profile figures will surely be dropping thousands on the experience as soon as a mint hits the pillow.
