Inside a $55M Penthouse Atop a Five-Star Four Seasons Hotel Near Miami

Perhaps one of the most famous names in the hospitality industry, the Four Seasons is synonymous with five-star everything: Design, service, amenities, you name it. As many clever luxury hotel brands have done, they also now offer permanent residences at some of their poshest properties. One such opportunity is available on Collins Ave at The Four Seasons at The Surf Club, just up the way from Miami Beach. The Surf Club Penthouse will give a buyer over 7,000 square feet of indoor living space, a private pool of its own, and access to all the tantalizing hotel amenities for the high price of $55 million.

Originally purchased by the sellers as an open raw space, the massive residence was done up by San Francisco-based design firm ODADA, with Orlando Diaz-Azcuy at the helm. He embraced architect Richard Meier’s idea for the layout, as the original architect who created the Surf Club’s Four Seasons Residences, while making changes to suit the clients’ desire for privacy.

“The Penthouse is custom designed by Orlando Diaz-Azcuy, with a custom floor plan including double-height ceilings, expansive living areas, a custom kitchen, ocean front yoga room, dedicated gym, and a unique and custom 70ft infinity edge pool,” says listing agent Mick Duchon. “The unit has 270-degree views, and encompasses the east, north, and west sides of the building.”

Holding over 14,000 square feet between the interior and exterior spaces, the finest finishes carry throughout. Windows all around highlight endless ocean views. Separated from the main entertaining areas, five bedrooms sit on the upstairs level of the unit. The primary suite got the most design attention, of course, and Diaz-Azcuy specifically changed elements of the layout to guarantee it a sweeping corner vantage point for the best vistas.
