Tour a Backcountry Greenwich Property Listed for $39.5M

Greenwich, Connecticut is no stranger to pricey listings. In August, a 50-acre waterfront property known as Copper Beech Farm sold for a staggering $138,830,000, becoming the most expensive residential property ever sold in Connecticut. Just a stone’s throw away, another waterfront mansion is asking upward of $50 million. These listings are in good company, because on the other side of town, a woodsy estate known as Creamer Hill Farm is seeking $39.5 million.

You might ask: With a price tag just shy of $40 million, what is included in the deal? For starters, 81 acres, comprised of not one, not two, but ten parcels of land. Nine of these are currently buildable with the possibility of future development. The main house boasts 14,296 square-feet with six bedrooms, eight full bathrooms, and one partial bath.

There is certainly a wow-factor upon entering, but its not the typical grand entryway you might expect from the tony town. Think Japanese garden with stone pavers, living palms, and even a pond. The lower level features an indoor lap pool, a glass-enclosed gym, billiards room, a wine cellar, and a one-bedroom staff apartment. Outside, a swimming pool with a waterslide, a tennis court, and baseball field allow for plenty of fun to be had. And a three-bedroom guest cottage allows for plenty of privacy.

Leslie McElwreath and Joseph Barbieri of Sotheby’s International Realty hold the listing.
