We’ve Moved
Lattice House has moved to a new location in downtown Southport, expanding its square footage and broadening its scope to include upholstery, new and vintage furniture and lighting. An exciting partnership with Connecticut maker Dunes and Duchess offers a selection of handcrafted furniture and lighting. “We are thrilled to be in the center of Southport Village in one of the village’s most iconic storefronts,” says owner and creative director Christopher Philip. The shop—known for its delightful mix of new and curated finds from local and global sources and its core categories of men’s gifts, barware, garden and home décor—is also the home of the Parker & Company design studio. “Lattice House and Parker & Company regularly collaborate on projects, so bringing the two business under one roof made perfect sense,” adds Philip.
California Dreaming

CB2 and Los Angeles–based interior designer Ross Cassidy unveiled an outdoor furniture and accessory collection just in time for summer. The 65-piece collection features luxe touches typically reserved for indoor furnishings, including organic materials, patinated finishes, curved silhouettes and European sophistication. “This collection is meant to transport you to the beach clubs of Saint-Tropez,” says Cassidy. “It’s rich, warm and casual, all with a luxurious approach.” The grouping includes an outdoor version of his popular Bacio upholstery, updated in all-weather rattan and plush Sunbrella performance cushions. Rounding out the collection—rugs, pillows and beach towels translated from hand-painted designs by Cassidy. Prices start at $50.
Color Curiosity

Founded by Dallas-based artist Jill Elliott, Color Kind Studio begins every pattern with a brush, paint and paper. The studio explores and celebrates how color elicits emotion and happiness. “I believe our surroundings impact our energy, and design has the power to bring joy into your space and life,” states Elliott. Each pattern is painted by hand, then scanned and perfected on the computer before being digitally printed to order. The Wanderhome collection, released this spring, includes Landscape and Swipes, offered in wallpaper and fabric, and Color Quilt in wallpaper. As expected, the designs capture Elliott’s painterly style in bright hues with energetic movement.
Milestones

Two Virginia companies, New Ravenna and McKinnon and Harris, are marking milestone anniversaries. To celebrate, they are joining forces on a new furniture collaboration. Three tables are being presented—Raj, Rattan and Marabel—each with distinct mosaic patterns in handcrafted polished, tumbled and honed stones. “Both New Ravenna and McKinnon and Harris inhabit the world of functional art,” says Richard Walters, CEO of New Ravenna. “We each have over three decades of honoring the beauty of hand-crafted production.” Will Massie, cofounder and CEO of McKinnon and Harris adds, “New Ravenna gives people the opportunity to work with their hands, minds and hearts in the same way we do at McKinnon and Harris. I love working with a company that is keeping hand-craftsmanship and traditional skills alive and creating a community that is centered around art.”
