Alex Rodriguez, the retired baseball champion better known as A-Rod, hit a home run when he purchased his Sunset Strip modern for $4.8 million from none other than Meryl Streep. The home, built in 1954, was designed by Douglas Honnold and John Leon Rex and later remodeled by Xorin Balbes, a designer well known for his remarkable restorations in the Los Angeles area. Now, four years later, A-Rod has decided to part ways with his mid-century abode, listing it for $6.5 million. As we’ve seen from his swanky Manhattan apartment purchase with girlfriend/superstar J. Lo, it’s all about New York right now for this former Yankee.The 3,700-square-foot oasis is brimming with sleek style and a connection to the outdoors.
