A Sleek Penthouse May Soon Become Brooklyn’s Priciest Sale

Brooklyn has become a breeding ground for high-end real estate developments as the area becomes more and more sought after. One such luxury development in Brooklyn Heights, Quay Tower, may soon boast a new title: The building with the priciest sale in the borough.

A source recently told Curbed that a combination penthouse is in contract for over $20 million. If this proves to be true, it will easily beat out the current record holders; a Cobble Hill townhouse that sold for $15.5 million in 2015 and a Brooklyn Heights townhouse actress Jennifer Connelly purchased for an equal amount. It was also blow past the $15 million penthouse sale at Dumbo’s 1 Main Street, which was rumored to be bought by Matt Damon

The source went into further detail about the plan to create a penthouse palace once the Quay Tower deal closes. Reportedly, interior designers Marmol Radziner will combine two penthouse units into one to create a sleek, 7,433-square-foot home in the sky.
