Actor Kevin James Scoops Up a Glamorous Boca Raton Manse for Upwards of $17M

Actor Kevin James, who you might know best as Paul Blart from Paul Blart: Mall Cop or Doug Heffernan from “The King of Queens,” just shelled out $17,150,000 for a luxurious property in Boca Raton. The 60-year-old actor started as a stand-up comedian in the ’80s and eventually shot off to stardom, specifically in family-comedy movies like Grown Ups and Zookeeper. Though he’s a New York native, he’s held properties in South Florida since at least 2016, per The Real Deal, and this is his latest find.

While South Florida tends to attract the rich and famous, it’s usually Miami or Palm Beach that are the hotspots. Perhaps James was attracted to the resort-feel and security of his new home. It sits on the grounds of a country club with a golf course, racquet facilities, marina, a fitness and wellness center, and multiple restaurants—there’s virtually no reason to leave, right? Similarly, Mark Wahlberg recently dropped $37 million on an opulent estate in Delray Beach—also within a gated community.

Built just last year by Primo Construction, the contemporary mansion spans 8,685 square-feet with six bedrooms and eight-and-a-half bathrooms. Designer Arianna Tascione brought sleek, bold design to the home with stunning stone choices, textured wallcoverings, and rich materials. It feels less like a coastal Florida beach house and more like a glamorous, golf getaway.

The out-of-this-world kitchen dripping in gold tones boasts dual islands, there’s a climate-controlled wine room, a glitzy bar area in the great room, and a home gym complete with an infrared sauna. Indoor/outdoor living is made easy, with floor-to-ceiling windows and doors and a total of five balconies (four that overlook the golf course). Out back, a kitchen and bar are apt for entertaining and there’s also a pool and hot tub. Of course, the four-car garage has a dedicated bay for golf carts.
