Albert Hammond Jr. of The Strokes Just Put His Rockin’ Hollywood Hills Home on the Market

Albert Hammond Jr., the lead guitarist for rock band The Strokes and a solo artist, is selling his cool home in the Hollywood Hills. The “Last Nite” musician has owned this delightful circa-1977 pad since 2019. According to the Robb Report, Hammond dropped $1.9 million on the rockin’ property. Now, it’s on the market asking $2,850,000.

Why the significant price increase? Partly because Hammond didn’t skip a beat and renovated it with warm modernism to be his family home, living there with his wife, Justyna Sroka, and their young daughter born in 2021. While they made updates to infuse minimalist and bright design sensibilities, it’s safe to say that the architecture is in tune with its site. After all, the right ingredients were there from the start. The multi-level modern is perched into a hillside and boasts soaring 20-foot ceilings and great light.

The residence totals 2,605 square feet, with four bedrooms and four bathrooms. High-end details throughout the home include a chef’s kitchen with substantial, top-of-the-line appliances and a mesmerizing blend of wood, stone, and steel that feels both airy and organic yet industrial and edgy. The plush home theater and custom library are further interior highlights. Outside, a rooftop pool, sauna, cold plunge, and plenty of terraces allow for easy indoor-outdoor living. Not to mention, soaking in the views of Universal Studios and the Hollywood sign.

While it’s not clear why Hammond is selling the property, his revamped abode is turnkey ready. That might be why the home, which listed 12 days ago with Rob Kallick and Sara Kaye Sexton of Compass, is already active under contract. So, interested buyers should get their back-up offers in asap.
