American Eagle CEO Wants $33.9M for Florida Penthouse Spanning Over 10,000 Square Feet

South Florida has no shortage of pricery real estate being bought and sold by celebs—this year alone, Victoria and David Beckham dropped upward of $72 million on a modern Miami mansion, DJ David Guetta sold his Miami Beach condo for $16 million in an off-market sale, and a former “Real Housewives of Miami” star re-listed her Star Island abode for $37.5 million. Business executives, too, have stake in the game. The CEO of American Eagle Outfitters, Jay Schottenstein, and his wife just listed their Key Biscayne penthouse for $33,900,000.

The residence consists of not one, but two penthouses combined into one 10,421 square-foot unit. Considering that the 70-year-old exec’s family reportedly has a net worth over $2 billion, it only makes sense that the “billionaire’s designer” Geoffrey Bradfield is behind the interiors. Clean lines, thoughtful lighting (even within bookshelves), light-toned wood accents, and various pops of blue make it feel sleek and luxurious, yet effortlessly connected to its oceanfront locale. Think Succession vibes, but if the show was set near Miami.

Additionally, the four-bedroom, four-and-a-half bathroom home features plenty of space for entertaining family, friends, or business associates including a chef’s kitchen, wine-storage room, large living room, and a bar. The unit has private dual offices, of course. Plus, 3,000 square-feet of terraces allow for soaking up that strong Florida sun and views of the Atlantic Ocean.

If the residence sells at or near its price tag, the transaction would set a record for condo sales on Key Biscayne (which is a barrier island in Miami-Dade County). Brigitte Nachtigall of ONE Sotheby’s International Realty and Ohad Fisherman with The Fisherman Group hold the penthouse listing.
