The one-and-only Amy Schumer is selling her Upper West Side penthouse for $15 million. Anything but a ‘Trainwreck,’ the comedian’s apartment in fact appears as solid and serene as they come. With vast exterior space, including rooftop and wraparound terraces, and a position atop a landmarked Riverside Drive building, the full-floor condo is truly a dream.
And that’s exactly what Schumer told The Wall Street Journal, who first reported the star’s penthouse is for sale. The actress and comedian described the plant-rich spread as her “Manhattan dream apartment.” Views of Manhattan and the Hudson River come both from within the glass-clad home and atop the prewar Beaux-Arts building, giving anyone lucky enough to be there a 360-degree vantage point.
With 5 bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms within 4,500 square feet, and an additional 3,000 square feet from those outdoor expanses, it’s a far cry from Schumer’s early experiences. And, her past is part of the reason the home has meant so much to her. “I’m someone who came from having to share a bed with my mom,” Schumer shared with the WSJ, “We had no money.”
That certainly isn’t the case any longer for Schumer and her family. She and her husband, chef Chris Fischer, welcomed their son in 2019 and have raised him here since. The penthouse has also evolved since Schumer purchased the place for $12.15 million in 2016. While expecting their child, the comedian enlisted Clements Design to redecorate the spaces.
Despite the seller’s profession, this listing held by Adam D. Modlin of the Modlin Group is no joke. An A-lister-approved UWS lifestyle awaits for someone able to shell out millions for it.
