Lost-and-forgotten pieces hiding in the cobwebs of attics become a treasure trove to those attending the annual Chappaqua Antiques Show. For the past 45 years, the New Castle Historical Society has hosted the show as a part of its efforts to preserve and celebrate local history.
Add the always-in-style vintage look to your home with an item from one of the most highly anticipated events in the Northeast featuring merchandise from more than 50 quality dealers.
“The show will have something for everyone,” says Dealer Chair Buffy Haas. “Silver, fine jewelry, decorative posters, elaborate quilts, mid-century furnishings, rare maps and books, folk art and unique collectibles will entertain and tempt show-goers.”
This year’s Honorary Chair is Dr. Kenneth Jackson, longtime Chappaqua resident, author and historian. Former chairs have included President Bill Clinton, actress Vanessa Williams and singer-songwriter Dar Williams.
The proceeds from the event will support the Horace Greeley House Museum, which serves New Castle Historical Society’s mission through exhibits and activities for students, adults and researchers.
Show Chairs Buffy Haas and Tess Cerra will make this possible with the assistance of 150 volunteers. Interior designer Cami Weinstein and certified appraiser Jon Felz will also be available to supply design and appraisal advice.
