A breezy Beverly Hills abode once owned by Hollywood darlings Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt is returning to the market for the first time since the couple sold it, asking a staggering $56 million. The Wallace Neff-designed home was built in the 1930’s for another A-lister, Academy Award-winner, Fredric March. The Friends and Fight Club stars updated Neff’s design extensively during their time in the home, from 2001 to 2006, according to Curbed.Spanning 12,000-square-feet, the estate sits on approximately 1.2 acres of land. The main home is in the French Normandy Revival style, with stunning stone exteriors and sweeping spaces for entertaining. Pitt and Aniston seemed especially focused on its floors, installing hearted marble in the bathrooms and importing wood from a 200-year-old French chateau for the hardwood. Details also include a screening room, also added by the couple, and an octagonal tower. An enormous chef’s kitchen with classic black-and-white tile looks out on the swimming pool.Hedge fund executive Jonathan Brooks bought the property from Brad and Jennifer and embarked on his own series of additions, installing a tennis court and a guest home. Even with all of this architectural allure, a cool, contemporary sitting room also opening onto the pool and a pool house with stunningly exquisite wood ceiling detail are the home’s true showstoppers. Susan Smith of Hilton & Hyland has the listing.
