One of the most iconic works of the 20th century, evoking childhood memories and innocence, Jeff Koons’ Balloon Dog, is created in a porcelain limited edition by Bernardaud. Challenged by the finish, the firm’s skilled artisans developed glazing techniques to create the smooth surface which Koons prescribes for reflecting the environment: “When you move the abstraction happens; nothing happens without you: it’s all about you. When you leave the room, the art leaves the room with you.”
