Cher’s Former Miami Mansion on La Gorce Island Lists for $42.5M

She’s the ‘Goddess of Pop’, an American television and music personality, the defining voice of the 20th century. She’s Cher. And, you can bet the superstar has and has had some fabulous residences. The star’s former Miami mansion, which she owned during the 90s, just listed with the steep price of $42.5 million.

Cher isn’t able to turn back time to live at the waterfront property again, but she could always re-purchase it. With her Malibu home currently on the market for $75 million, maybe it’s the perfect timing. It might feel like a completely new pad to her as well since the circa-1953 home still exudes classic Spanish style, but has been painstakingly remodeled by the current owners. After a two-year renovation with the help of Menin Homes + Designs, it is one of the most sophisticated mansions on La Gorce Island.

If the Spanish style outside didn’t show its roots, then surely the rounded arches and windows inside bring it to life. Primed for entertaining or even putting on private concerts, gorgeous social spaces open into the completely modernized kitchen and art-deco bar scene. All looking out to the 158-foot of water frontage.

Encompassing a total of six bedrooms and nine bathrooms within 12,450 square feet, there’s no shortage of space here. Other amenities on the property include a luxurious pool and lounge space, fitness center, and cold plunge as well as a spa. The primary suite alone, designed for relaxation at the core, holds its own private terrace and top-floor studio.

The property’s history makes it feel exclusive already, but a fun fact about La Gorce Island is there are only 30 homes in total and it is patrolled 24 hours a day. Mansion Global reports that the sellers are financier James Eaton and his wife, Cecily Eaton. Dina Goldentayer of Douglas Elliman holds the listing.
