During the first many seasons of the beloved series Grey’s Anatomy, Meredith Grey is known for staying in the same house, a humble craftsman which belonged to her mother, and letting out rooms to her fellow doctors. Ellen Pompeo, who plays the character, is a little more splashy with her real estate dealings. The actress, who makes $20 million annually for her long-running role and recently listed her custom Sag Harbor home, has just sold a Whitley Hills villa for $2.765 million. Variety reports the new owner as Sandra J. Brant, former publisher of the folded Interview magazine.Pompeo first purchased the 2,500-square-foot home 13 years ago for just $1.35 million. Period details like antique tiling, stone balustrades, and gilt-trimmed ceiling beams, and upscale updates such as a double-height living room, make the two-bedroom, two-bathroom home a desirable blend of the luxury of the new and the character of the old. Upstairs, the two bedrooms are connected by a Jack ‘n’ Jill bathroom, a quirk that robs the otherwise charming home of its master suite. The manicured gardens outside, notably a variety of fruit trees and a spacious swimming pool, more than make up for this drawback.Brett Lawyer of Hilton & Hyland had the beautiful listing, but appears to have taken it down.To stay up to date on the latest real estate news no matter where you are, follow dailyDEEDS on Instagram!
