While Graceland in Memphis is the property most famously connected to Elvis Presley, and it is still in his family today owned by granddaughter Riley Keough, that is not the only home tied to the music icon. This Palm Springs architectural treasure where Elvis and Priscilla Presley honeymooned has become a glamorous part of his legacy. The angular, 1960-built pad has since had many other chapters, with the current sellers devoting great energy to restoring it. Refreshed and as alluring as ever, the midcentury marvel just hit the market seeking $9,275,000.
Known as “Honeymoon House,” “The Alexander Residence,” and “The House Of Tomorrow” per a 1962 magazine feature, the spaceship-esque home was originally commissioned by developer Robert Helene Alexander to be his personal residence. Architect William Krisel designed it, creating groovy spherical spaces that cement its place in time and modernism. The circular living room is the unequivocal heart of the home. Exploring on, the dreamy primary suite where Elvis slumbered, fabulous curving kitchen, and relaxing backyard with a large pool and mountain views are other defining aspects.
Nancy Cirillo, the seller, purchased the 4,695-square-foot spread in 2022 and eloped soon-after, marrying her now-husband, Cary Collins. After they officially honeymooned in the Bahamas, the pair began their newlywed adventure of restoring the Presley’s former love nest.
It had received major updates in 2021, but the couple enhanced the one-of-a-kind abode further with the help of Michelle Boudreau Design. The firm’s Instagram page details many of their decor and material decisions. In a post about the kitchen, the design firm shares, “We meticulously maintained the original layout while incorporating custom white oak cabinetry, a rejuvenated circular island cooktop, and a conical hood adorned with natural stone and artisan brass patina. Our goal was to be deliberate in what we preserved and imaginative in how we revitalized it.”
Each room was given attention with a creative yet well-edited eye. The living room’s original rock wall was restored, with matching ivory shag carpeting added to match the custom 40-foot sectional already in place. Elsewhere, it seems one of the biggest changes was a simple walk-in closet transformed into a sultry, black and gold bar inspired by Elvis and Priscilla’s fashionable edge.
Cirillo says, “This was our honeymoon house. Cary and I had the opportunity to elevate and take the design aesthetic to a new level—a labor of new love. We were honored to be stewards of the property and now it’s time for a new owner to enjoy this incredible space.”
The stunning home is being sold fully furnished, which likely contributes to the property’s major price jump since 2022 as well. It last sold for $5.65 million. Marc Sanders of Compass holds the listing.
