Hoops 4 Hope 2026 Summer Party: Love of the Game

The Glass House, created between 1949 and 1995 by architect Philip Johnson and curator David Whitney, is a site of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, located in New Canaan, CT. This pastoral 49-acre landscape comprises fourteen structures, including the Glass House (1949), and features a permanent collection of 20th-century paintings and sculptures, along with annual contemporary exhibitions. The campus serves as a catalyst for the preservation and interpretation of modern architecture, landscape, and art, and as a canvas for inspiration and experimentation. The tour season runs from mid-April through mid-December, and advanced reservations are required. Members receive 10% off tour tickets.

As a media sponsor, HC&G highlights a reading and reception at LongHouse Reserve celebrating DayDreams, edited by James Salomon. The book features daydreams from artists affiliated with LongHouse, including Ai Weiwei, Laurie Anderson, Philip Glass, Kiki Smith, and Julian Schnabel. Several contributing artists will read selections. Copies of the book will be available for purchase. Proceeds support LongHouse educational programs.

Southampton Arts Center's annual SummerFest Gala returns Saturday, August 22, 6 p.m., at 25 Jobs Lane. The evening honors John Paulson and Alina de Almeida with the 2026 Champion of the Arts Award. Guests will enjoy a cocktail reception, seated dinner by Acquolina Catering, and dancing with DJ Olivier Meiji. Proceeds support Southampton Arts Center's arts and education programming.
