Three-time Stanley Cup champion and NHL Hall of Famer Chris Chelios has made a power play, re-listing his impressive beachfront Malibu home for just under $60 million. While that sum is gargantuan, it’s actually a price cut from when he first listed it in 2023 for $75 million.
Boasting 90 feet of beach frontage in the exclusive enclave of Paradise Cove, the blufftop property holds a 3,795-square-foot main house with four bedrooms (two of which are dual primary suites), oversized windows for constant natural light and views, and multi-level decks for indoor/outdoor living. It’s neutral, open spaces encourage an elegant yet relaxed beach lifestyle, while the game room and bunk room on the lower level entice for fun-filled, family-oriented gatherings.
However, the beach is likely the main focus when the sun is shining. Perched just above the sand, there’s a second structure as well: A beach cabana with its own kitchen, bathroom, dining, and living areas. A roof deck and oceanfront deck are at-the-ready for endless enjoyment, too.
While the pricey home dates back to the 1980s, the Chelios family has updated it. The former NHL star and his wife bought the property from a friend of a friend in 2003 for just $6 million. In 2023, Chelios shared with the WSJ that he was selling with plans to buy a vacation home closer to family.
The buzzer to sell is on and the teammates assisting Chelios in the $59,999,950 listing are Carl Gambino and John Bercsi of the Gambino Group at Compass.
