Fashion Designer Arnold Scaasi's Quogue Home Finds a Buyer at $2.8M

Late fashion designer Arnold Scaasi’s Quogue home, which hit the market for the first time after his death, has found a buyer. Scaasi—who rose to fame dressing first ladies Mamie Eisenhower, Barbara Bush, Hillary Clinton and Laura Bush as well as Hollywood stars including Barbra Streisand, Mary Tyler Moore, Elizabeth Taylor and Shirley McClain—outfitted his home with the same exuberant style he was known for in his clothes. According to the listing, the house is in need of a major renovation to restore its former glory and also comes with approved plans for a new 6,000-square-foot structure with a pool and multiple decks and patios to take in the spectacular ocean views. The house was listed for $2.8M with Douglas Elliman’s Enzo Morabito.
