Heiress Beverly Kerzner’s Wondrous Hudson Valley Estate Hits the Market for $25M

Silvernails Farm, a 127-acre Hudson Valley oasis where the roaring waters of Shekomeko Creek and Roeliff Jansen Kill majestically merge, is full of stunning sights. As you enter the estate of luscious rolling greenery, your eye can’t help but be drawn to the masterpiece of it all: A 7,500-square-foot barn-like residence that is both lusty and livable. Owned by heiress Beverly Kerzner, daughter of late hotelier Sol Kerzner, the property is now up for sale asking $25 million.

The Wall Street Journal reports that, after living in India for over a decade, Kerzner purchased the expansive property in 2015 and spent the following years revisioning and designing her awe-worthy primary home. The homeowner called upon German architect Niels Schoenfelder of Mancini Enterprises to help her conceptualize and execute the vision, mixing materials and old and new structures to make a truly singular residence.

Dubbed Ingadi or “garden” in Zulu, the estate blends soaring living areas and over-the-top amenities with the natural beauty of the landscape, an intentional choice made by Kerzner and Schoenfelder. The pair found inspiration for the home from several historic barns, dating back to the 1700s and early 1900s collectively. In a feature on the property last year, Kerzner told Architectural Digest, “the most important thing was to get the scale right between the buildings, the new house, and these old barns—because they’re really so special.”

Finished in 2020, the barn-inspired main house feels innovative yet familiar. It holds four bedrooms, a wine cellar, a gym, a sauna, and a steam room all while showcasing exceptional craftsmanship and authenticity. From the horse paddocks to the riverside tea table, this property may feel like a slice of heaven on Earth to many.

Bryan Anderson of Compass holds the listing, which Zillow shows is currently the most expensive home listed in Columbia County.
