Hotel Heir Steve Hilton Sells Chic Malibu Home for $8.45M

Steve Hilton, a grandson of late hotelier Conrad Hilton, just sold his stunning Malibu beach house for $8.45 million. The geometric abode stands out in the gated Malibu Cove Colony because of its bold exterior that combines glass with wood paneling in a contemporary way.

Lush light pours through the four-bedroom beach house thanks to oversized picture windows and skylights on each level. Panoramic ocean views are visible from almost every room, but especially impress in the great room, which boasts floor-to-ceiling glass walls and contains the home’s kitchen, a formal dining area, and a living room. Sea spray is just a step away with huge glass doors leading out to an entertainer’s balcony.

Upstairs, the master bedroom is everything a Malibu master should be and more. A private balcony, spa-like bathroom, plush bed, and cozy seating area will make it difficult for new owners to ever leave this heavenly corner of the house.

According to the LA Times, Hilton, a known philanthropist, turned a sweet profit on the home since he bought it a decade ago for $7.1 million.

Kate Pritchett-Skene of Pritchett-Rapf & Associates and Chris Cortazzo of Coldwell Banker had the listing. Andrew Stern of Coldwell Banker represented the buyer.

Aquatic life is not just down on the beach. At the entrance of the home, a circular staircase wraps around a custom saltwater aquarium brimming with colorful fish.
