A freestanding pavilion on the terrace of this Ocean House residence was transformed into a private dining room with 360-degree views. The patio furniture is from Restoration Hardware.
Philip Gorrivan designed the round table with bleached-wood base for the space, covered the top with Holland & Sherry wool felt in lavender and finished it with antique bronze nail-head trim. The chandelier was fabricated from an antique fishing net and outfitted with bare Edison bulbs; the Danish-style teak chairs with woven seats are from Design Within Reach.
The comfortable living room is furnished with an eclectic mix that includes vintage finds and upholstered pieces covered in fabrics from , Philip Gorrivan Design for Highland Court Duralee.
A custom triptych depicting rhythmic waves was designed to define the living space and serve as a visual punctuation mark.
Throw pillows on the breakfast-area banquette are from Gorrivan’s Highland Court collection.
The master bedroom signals a shift from the overall ocean-inspired palette of blue and lavender, with walls covered in Abaca grasscloth in shadow from Holland & Sherry. The blush-colored custom tufted headboard is upholstered in Philip Gorrivan Design for Highland Court.
Barnacle-covered bottles sit stop a chest of drawers from Andrew Martin.
A red-lacquered vanity pops against grasscloth walls in the powder room.
The zinc-topped trestle table in the breakfast area is from R.T. Facts in Kent.
Bound books in shades of blue sit on open shelves backed by Luzon wallpaper in shell.
Surfboards do double duty on grasscloth-covered walls in the hall; both bookshelf and hallway papers are from Holland & Sherry.
A watery palette of deep green and taupe prevails in the guest room. The accent wall is covered in Great Wave paper from Cole & Son through Lee Jofa. Twin headboards are upholstered in Alhambra Matelasse in aqua, Philip Gorrivan Design for Highland Court .
