Jewelry Designer Jane Berg Lists Dazzling, Ski-In/Ski-Out Aspen Modern for $35M

Jewelry designer Jane Berg knows a thing or two about dreaming up eye-catching designs. In 2012, the jeweler founded Jane Berg Collection, her own fine jewelry collection, when her husband asked for gift ideas and she couldn’t quite find what she was looking for. Since then, her luxury pieces have been featured at New York Fashion Week, in magazines, and on red carpets. Just a few years after starting her eponymous collection, Berg and her husband scooped up this Aspen property in 2015 and redeveloped the site to build their dream Colorado home. Recently, it came to market for a steep $35 million.

Dubbed “The Wedge House,” the ski-in/ski-out modern thoughtfully sits on the mountain to capture the best sightlines of Aspen Highlands. The property provides easy access to the Thunderbowl Lane skier underpass, which allows for powdery trips to the heart of Highlands Village. The Bergs currently use the property as their “Colorado homebase,” where they host and entertain often, but are looking for their next property in the area.

The project was completed at the end of 2021 and has a cool, modern edge to it that clearly shows fashionable finesse. Think: Floating staircase, large expanses of glass overlooking the mountain, a live-edge wood counter atop the kitchen island. Spanning more than 6,900 square feet, there are five bedrooms, six full bathrooms, and one half-bath. Ideal for wellness, the lower level boasts a spa room, gym, and hangout area—and all floors are connected via elevator. For this price, the new owners can also put on alfresco ápres ski parties in luxe Aspen style using the suave patio, hot tub, pizza oven, and two gas fire pits.

Susan Hershey and Blake Greiner of Douglas Elliman represent the listing, which may be purchased furnished.
