Jimmy Choo Co-Founder Tamara Mellon Cuts the Price on Her Upper East Side Penthouse to $25M

Earlier this month, Jimmy Choo co-founder Tamara Mellon picked up an $18.4M condo at the Greenwich Lane and it’s made her even more motivated to sell her penthouse in the Upper East Side’s Carhart Mansion. Curbed reports that the duplex has gotten another price cut, despite the last one happening only a few months ago and now lists for $25M—$9M less than its original list price—with Compass’s Keith Copley, Pascual Ortiz and Trisha Goff.

The palatial duplex spans more than 7,000 square feet and is full of elegant details like the herringbone oak floors and an ornate marble-and-tile powder room on the first level. The elevator opens to a gallery leading into the sunken living room, which features soaring ceilings and an exotic stone fireplace. The first level also houses the skylit chef’s kitchen and formal dining room along with the master suite. Not surprisingly, the master bedroom features a walk-in dressing room with endless built-in shoe storage. A south-facing terrace with limestone columns and a loggia are also located on this level. Upstairs, there is a media room and home office and an additional wraparound terrace.
