Kanye West’s Former Hidden Hills Property, Completely Redone by a Celebrity-Favorite Designer, Seeks $17M

Designer Jae Omar boasts no shortage of celebrity-loved projects. Famous faces from Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner to the Los Angeles Rams football coach Sean McVay have resided in homes dreamt up by the visionary designer. Only time will tell if another star will be the buyer of this newly-built Los Angeles mansion—crafted in collaboration with Jae Omar and H2 Development—now on the market asking $16,995,000.

The property itself is nestled in the gated, star-studded Hidden Hills community. And, in fact, it was purchased from Kanye West in 2023. Though West is long gone, a few of the Kardashians still own homes in the secure neighborhood. The luxe enclave has attracted many other celebs, too, including NBA star Ben Simmons, actress Lori Loughlin, and musician The Weeknd.

“Three Planes,” as the home is called, is Omar’s latest creation. The name pays homage to the Chumash people who once inhabited this land and their cosmology of three interconnected worlds: The sky, the earth, and the underworld. The home’s exterior aesthetic blends Shou Sugi Ban siding, Santa Barbara stone cladding, and hand-applied plaster with metal roofing. Inside, Omar brings his signature bold modernism in abundance with rich materials, earthy finishes, and clean lines.

The two-story, 11,000-square-foot manse includes five bedrooms, six full bathrooms, and one powder room. The primary suite boasts a spa-like bathroom with a sauna and steam room. But, that’s far from the only space dedicated to relaxation. A wellness wing equipped with a gym and a spa beckons inside while a yoga deck, outdoor kitchen, fire pit, pool, and hot tub await outside.
