The New Year comes with much to celebrate, and nobody is having a better time celebrating real estate victories than Kristen Wiig. Finishing 2018 in the best way possible, Wiig just sold her home in the Silver Lake area of Los Angeles for $5.225 million, which is $225,000 more than its original asking price. The comedian, actress, and Bridesmaids-scribe, who can next be seen in Wonder Woman 1984 next year, listed the home in October, just two months before the sale was made in December.A midcentury modern true to Wiig’s vintage taste (she scooped up the iconic Case Study house this time last year), the home is known as “the Martin Residence” in tribute to renowned architect Albert P. Martin. Originally constructed in 1952 and situated on a 17,000-square-foot double lot, the 3,515-square-foot home was renovated extensively by Wiig, Taalman Architecture, and interior design team The Archers to mindfully bring it into the 21st century while still retaining its retro heart.Included in the renovation are luxurious additions like a screening room, studio, and sauna, which exist in harmony with the original formal living and dining rooms, three bedrooms, and three bathrooms.Bryony Atkinson of Maison Real Estate had the listing, which Mansion Global first reported sold.
