Late Hasbro CEO’s Beverly Hills Mansion with Interiors by Michael S. Smith Lists for $27M

Besides the fact that this Beverly Hills home is classically gorgeous, it is also the residence of a high-profile late CEO and was decorated by a prominent interior designer—some might call it a triple threat.

The North Canon Drive address is the residence of the late Brian Goldner, who was the CEO of toy and game company Hasbro from 2008 until his untimely death in 2021. Hasbro is the company behind a number of household brands including Nerf, Play-Doh, My Little Pony, Furby, Monopoly, and Scrabble.

The interiors—which consist of 7,448 square-feet—were designed by the renowned Michael Smith, who preserved and designed the White House under the Obama administration (redoing the Oval Office in 2010) and has worked with acclaimed producer Shonda Rhimes. The tailored, upscale design features neutral color schemes, subtle patterns, and sumptuous materials across five bedrooms and eight bathrooms.

As one would expect from the home of a longtime toy company CEO, the home is appropriately set up for work and play. Of course, there is a home office and formal gathering spaces for elegant entertaining. There’s a sauna for unwinding as well as effortlessly relaxing color palettes. Outside, the half-acre property is apt for fun and games, too, with a swimming pool and spa, outdoor fireplace, and plenty of space for entertaining. A separate structure adjacent to the pool is currently configured as a fitness studio, but may be converted into a guest house—or perhaps a playroom.

Antonio Bruno of Sotheby’s International Realty and Tomer Fridman of Christie’s International Real Estate hold the $27 million listing just two blocks from the iconic Rodeo Drive.
