CURB APPEAL

James Hardie Building Products’ 2026 Color of the Year is Iron Gray. The deep shade offers drama and sophistication, lending architectural appeal as a monochromatic moment with matching trim or as a crisp accent when paired with white trim. “Color has the power to amplify a home’s architectural voice,” says Samara Toole, Chief Marketing Officer of James Hardie. “With Iron Gray, we wanted a color that is expressive yet grounded, one that complements strong lines and invites highlight trims to pop. It’s exactly the kind of color homeowners and professionals are asking for—bold yet timeless.” The Hardie Designer tool, powered by Hover, lets you try out different colors and styles with AI-driven visualizations to see if Iron Gray is your perfect shade.
SWEDISH CONNECTION

Swedish rug maker Kasthall and Design Within Reach have partnered to present five new rugs. The Originals Collection includes Alegraes in hand-tufted wool and linen with a boucle border; Chique, by Danish designer Cecilie Manz, in cut and uncut loops of fine worsted wool; Elsa, a dot pattern inspired by precious stones woven in New Zealand wool embedded with fluffy chenille yarn; Tegel in felted wood and lustrous linen in a bold, playful color palette and Tekla, a hand-tufted boucle rug in wool and linen designed by Pritzker Prize laureate Sir David Chipperfield. Several new colorways for these rugs are exclusive to Design Within Reach. “DWR’s focus on bringing design and lasting quality to American homes, aligns perfectly with Kasthall’s mission,” shares Danielle Zinn, Managing Director, Americas, Kasthall. “We are honored to be a part of their Originals Collection and look forward to a phenomenal partnership.”
THE NEW CLASSICS

Casa Branca’s sixth collection, New Classics, offers a fresh perspective on enduring design. Each pattern and palette reimagines timeless motifs in wallcoverings and fabrics—treillage, block prints, chinoiserie and Indian paisley—through the sophisticated and modern lens of Alessandra Branca. “After many years in the business, we find ourselves returning to certain ‘go-to’ styles and patterns time and time again,” says Branca. “They feel familiar, but the fun is to find new ways to incorporate them or interpret them. This collection is very much about that—new twists and turns on wonderful themes!”
