Meg Braff Puts Her Touch on the Interiors of This Regency-Style Residence in Palm Beach
After a complete two-year renovation, this home retains its original neoclassical exterior but now boasts a glamorous and vibrant interior—drawing inspiration from the town’s mid-century Golden Age.
A harmonious columned façade stands at the end of a driveway whose perimeter is inlaid with Greek key tiles. But inside, Meg Braff’s use of vibrant color, bold wallpapers, and a blend of new and vintage pieces results in a vibrant and distinctive décor.

As we enter the house, Braff declares “It is the foyer where you set the tone.” There, dramatic Japanese-inspired wallpaper from Gracie is complemented by two contrasting animal print chairs and a vintage console table, topped with a sculpture by acclaimed Spanish artist, Manolo Valdés. This establishes a leitmotif for the entire property, where Japanese murals and furniture mix seamlessly with traditional furniture and modern art, including a Robert Rauschenberg painting.

Benjamin Moore’s high-gloss #546 Courtyard Green sets the tone for the card room. A vintage sofa wears a Holland & Sherry “Andes in Spring” wool, with the antique French chairs in a green tiger-print velvet from Scalamandré. Brass table lamps from Visual Comfort top the green penshell side tables from Modern History.
Indian Arbre wallpaper from Schumacher adds accents of color and a matching fabric wraps the base of a custom-made bed. Custom bedding is from Hamburg House, and Pierre Frey fabric adorns a chair from Hickory Chair as does the bench. Nightstands and antique lamps are from Meg Braff Designs Palm Beach.
The fountain from Haddonstone stars in another dining area with a cast stone table with dolphins at its base. Vintage shell-back chairs are from Show Pony.
Braff ’s artful mix of high-end and found objects creates layered spaces that feel both luxurious and welcoming. “Antiques and vintage furniture make a home feel special, and are the quickest way to make a new build or newly renovated project feel grounded,” she says.

The designer has a penchant for green and applies the color in layers of lacquer in the “card room,” where faux malachite side tables with distinctive brass details and two 19th-century Japanese tables are juxtaposed by a pair of distinctive green tiger print velvet chairs from Scalamandré.

The primary suite displays a more familiar Floridian color scheme, but it is the bold floral wallpaper from Schumacher that dominates the room. Here, as in elsewhere, many of the pieces are sourced from Braff’s treasure trove: her West Palm Beach emporium on Georgia Avenue.
The house’s outdoor area is quintessentially Braff, with her signature vintage shell-backed dining chairs, surrounding a tablescape from her store, creating an elegant but relaxed space in which the family can effortlessly entertain.
