Meg Ryan’s Elegant and Pricey Hamptons Retreat Finds a Buyer

If everything moves forward smoothly, Meg Ryan is looking at a seemingly perfect Hamptons sale. One that Alec Baldwin, who has been persistently trying to sell his Amagansett estate, may be jealous of. The A-list actress, known for starring in beloved, fall-favorite rom-coms like “You’ve Got Mail” and “When Harry Met Sally,” listed this 1.5-acre spread at the start of summer right after Memorial Day Weekend and it found a buyer fast. The manicured property has now been in contract since late July, slowly making its way to the finish line.

Since Ryan purchased the refined yet comfortable Bridgehampton home for $13.5 million in 2024 and priced it at $15.25 million this year, it’s likely she’ll sweep up a tidy profit. The new owner also has lots to look forward to with this deal. Besides the bragging rights of owning a movie star’s former getaway, they’re gaining a timeless East End environment featuring traditional architecture and grounds.

Built in 2016, the home is just 10 years old but looks like it could have stood here for decades. Set behind gates at the end of a long driveway, it offers 4,928 square feet of airy and elegant interiors by Kitty McCoy, five bedrooms, a pool, and gardens by LaGuardia Design Group.

Evan Kulman of Compass brought the celebrity home to market.
